Denver is now part of a group of prominent U.S. cities including New York City, Nashville, Austin, Orlando, Portland, and Las Vegas competing to attract a larger share of international tourists. This collective effort reflects the ongoing contest among major destinations to enhance their appeal to visitors from abroad.
Despite these endeavors, the number of tourists arriving from Mexico, Canada, and Brazil has shown a decline recently. This trend poses a challenge for Denver and its peer cities as they seek growth within international travel markets.
Nevertheless, these urban centers have witnessed a significant rise in overall tourism revenue, with
combined earnings surpassing ten billion U.S. dollars. This growth highlights the expanding economic impact of tourism even amid fluctuations in visitor origins.
