Delta Air Lines will begin nonstop service between Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) and Manila, Philippines, on March 28, 2027. This will be Delta’s first nonstop route linking the two cities, making it the only U.S. carrier to provide direct flights on this route at launch.
Initially, flights will operate three times per week using Airbus A350-900 aircraft. On June 7, 2027, the frequency will increase to daily service. The route covers approximately 6,348 nautical miles and flights are expected to last between 14 and 15 hours.
The nonstop route connects LAX in Los Angeles with Manila, the primary international
gateway of the Philippines and a significant commercial and cultural hub in Southeast Asia. The new service expands Delta’s presence on the Pacific transpacific corridor, a region central to its Asia-Pacific network growth.
Delta’s Vice President of Network Planning, Jeff Arinder, oversees development of the airline’s international routes including this new service. Delta will offer multiple cabin options on the route including Delta One with flat-bed seating, Delta Premium Select, Delta Comfort, and Delta Main. Delta One customers departing LAX have access to two Delta One Lounges, including a newly opened lounge at Terminal 2.
Delta is returning to the
Philippine market for the first time since March 2020, when it ended a fifth-freedom route between Tokyo Narita Airport and Manila. The new nonstop LAX-Manila flights align with Delta’s strategy to enhance its Asia-Pacific operations and reinforce Los Angeles as a key West Coast hub.
The nonstop service eliminates the need for stopovers for travelers between Los Angeles and Manila, providing a more direct option. Access to Delta One Lounges at LAX adds comfort and service benefits for premium customers.

The route enters competition with Philippine Airlines, which currently operates multiple daily flights between Los Angeles and Manila. Additionally, the nonstop service supports Delta’s joint venture with Korean Air, facilitating connections to over 260 destinations in the Americas and more than 60 destinations across Asia.
