Delta Air Lines announced new nonstop routes from Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) to Monterey Airport in California and Philadelphia Airport, increasing service to seven U.S. destinations. This announcement, reported by Business Travel Executive on or before September 21, 2026, marks an expansion of Delta’s domestic network.
Delta’s Expansion and Service Increase at LAX
Starting next summer, Delta will operate its largest and most premium experience in history at LAX. The airline and its partners will provide more than 200 daily departures during the summer peak period, enhancing connectivity and travel flexibility from LAX. These investments at LAX aim to create a more seamless and premium journey
for customers while building on Delta’s long-term commitment to Los Angeles and the western United States.
Amy Martin, vice president of network planning at Delta Air Lines, stated, “With new service to Monterey from both Los Angeles and Salt Lake City, alongside our continued growth at LAX, we’re creating more opportunities for customers to connect to the places they want to go while building on our long-term commitment to Los Angeles and the West.” Delta’s new routes and increased service reflect a broader effort to enhance the airport’s route network and customer experience.
