Delta Air Lines will begin nonstop flights between Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) and Manila, Philippines, starting March 28, 2027. Initially, the airline will operate the route three times weekly before increasing frequency to daily service from June 7, 2027, making Delta the only U.S. carrier to offer nonstop service on this route at launch.
The new route covers approximately 6,348 nautical miles, with flight durations estimated between 14 and 15 hours. Delta will use its Airbus A350-900 aircraft to serve this transpacific connection, offering a modern long-haul product for passengers traveling between these hubs.

Delta’s introduction of nonstop service
to Manila is part of its broader effort to enhance Los Angeles as its premier West Coast hub. This route complements recent launches to destinations including Hong Kong, Melbourne, Shanghai, Vancouver, and Newark. Through its joint venture with Korean Air, Delta expands connectivity across the Pacific, providing access to over 260 destinations in the Americas and more than 60 in Asia.
Market Competition and Historical Context
The nonstop LAX-Manila flights mark Delta’s return to the Philippines after a six-year hiatus. Previously, Delta served Manila via a fifth-freedom route from Tokyo Narita until March 2020. The new nonstop service directly challenges Philippine Airlines, which presently operates
multiple daily flights between the two cities, dominating the Los Angeles–Manila market.
Passenger Experience and Amenities
Flights will include Delta’s full cabin offerings: Delta One, Delta Premium Select, Delta Comfort Plus, and Delta Main Cabin. Premium travelers using Delta One at Los Angeles gain access to two Delta One Lounges, including the recently opened facility in Terminal 2 that features enhanced dining and personalized services.
