The Indian government has revealed plans for a high-speed bullet train route that will connect Delhi to Siliguri. This new line is set to run through several major cities including Lucknow, Varanasi, and Patna, forming a key corridor in the northern and eastern parts of the country.
Once operational, this bullet train service is anticipated to significantly reduce the travel time between Delhi and Siliguri to approximately six hours. This represents a substantial decrease compared with current rail journey durations, promising a faster transit option for passengers travelling along this route.
