The Caribbean Hotel and Tourism Association (CHTA) is pushing for the adoption of a new and broader framework to more accurately quantify the value of tourism in the Caribbean. This initiative highlights the need for better evaluation methods to understand tourism’s full economic impact across the region.

Current measurement approaches are seen as insufficient in fully capturing the diverse economic benefits generated by tourism within Caribbean markets. The proposed framework aims to address these shortcomings by encompassing a wider range of economic contributions related to the industry.
