Service on the Xi’an–Yan’an High-Speed Railway, connecting two major cities in northern Shaanxi Province, is planned to commence in December 2026. This new rail line will link Xi’an and Yan’an, providing a direct transportation option within the region.

The route is designed to reduce travel time significantly, bringing the journey between Xi’an and Yan’an down to approximately one hour. Daily fast services are expected to run along this corridor, offering a quicker alternative for travelers within northern Shaanxi.
