Chicago O’Hare International Airport encountered significant flight disruptions on July 1, 2026, when more than 220 flights were delayed and five were cancelled. These interruptions affected air travel throughout the day, impacting a wide range of passengers departing from or arriving at the airport.
Among the carriers experiencing operational challenges were United Airlines, SkyWest Airlines, American Airlines, and Jazz Aviation. The problems extended across domestic US routes as well as international destinations, including flights to Canada, Brazil, and Germany.
