Celebrity Cruises announced its deployment plans for 2028 and 2029, committing to itineraries across all seven continents. The fleet will offer expanded Europe deployments alongside journeys in Alaska, Asia, Australia, New England, South America, South Pacific, and Antarctica.
Expanded European Deployments Include Four Edge Series Ships
The cruise line’s 2028-2029 Europe season will see four Edge Series vessels navigating the region for the first time, including the renewed Celebrity Beyond, returning after its 2026 refurbishment. Celebrity Beyond’s updated features debut in November 2026 and include new outdoor venues such as the Celebrity Pool Club, Orange Peel Bar & Grille, Tacos del Sol, and al fresco dining at Bora.
Europe sailings range from seven to 14 nights, departing from Southampton with routes covering Norway’s fjords including Geiranger and Alesund, Icelandic stops like Reykjavik and Akureyri, and Scandinavian ports. Celebrity Summit will offer round-trip voyages from Reykjavik, providing extended access to Iceland’s scenic locations.
Celebrity Apex will provide 12-night sailings covering Scandinavia and the British Isles, marking Celebrity Cruises’ inaugural visit to Galway, Ireland. Mediterranean routes run on Celebrity Xcel, Celebrity Ascent, and Celebrity Eclipse through Italy, France, Spain, Morocco, Portugal, Greece, and Turkey. Celebrity Constellation will sail to Italy and Croatia, including the cruise line’s first Bari, Italy, visit
since 2014. Celebrity Infinity resumes year-round European operations with routes including Egypt, featuring overnight stops in Alexandria.
Alaska and Hawaii Itineraries Expand with New Ship Entries
Alaska sailings in 2028 include three vessels: Celebrity Edge returns for its fifth season, Celebrity Equinox embarks on its inaugural Alaska voyages offering seven-night open-jaw cruises between Vancouver and Seward, and Celebrity Millennium will operate round-trip sailings from Vancouver. Celebrity Equinox will also debut new round-trip Hawaii sailings from Los Angeles.
Land-based Cruisetours in Alaska, operated in conjunction with Celebrity Equinox sailings, provide extended options in Anchorage, Talkeetna, and Denali with locally guided experiences.
Australia, New Zealand, and South Pacific Sailing Options
Celebrity Edge and Celebrity Solstice will conduct 23 voyages
departing from Sydney and Auckland, with itineraries from four to 14 nights covering Australia’s wine regions and New Zealand fjords. Celebrity Solstice’s South Pacific cruises incorporate destinations such as Tauranga in New Zealand, Lifou in the Loyalty Islands, and Mystery Island in Vanuatu.
Asia Routes Feature Full Japan Season and Southeast Asian Overnights
A full Japan season will run from April to October 2028 aboard Celebrity Solstice, with ports of call including Tokyo, Mt. Fuji, Kyoto, and Aomori, highlighted by events such as Golden Week and Gion Matsuri festivals. Celebrity Millennium will offer spring and fall sailings across Asia focusing on Cherry Blossom, Hibiscus, and koyo autumn leaf viewing seasons.
The fleet will visit Okinawa 17 times during this period.
Winter sailings through Southeast Asia on Celebrity Solstice and Celebrity Millennium cover Malaysia, Thailand, Vietnam, Indonesia, and China with overnight stops in Bangkok, Phuket, Benoa (Bali), Hanoi, Hong Kong, and Penang.
South America, Antarctica, and North American Itineraries
Celebrity Equinox will offer 12- to 16-night itineraries visiting five countries, including Chile, Argentina, and Antarctic regions. The routes include stops at Valparaiso, Buenos Aires, and Cape Horn, with opportunities for wildlife encounters and regional cuisine experiences. A 16-night New Year’s holiday sailing will visit Antarctica.
Celebrity Summit will operate seven-night sailings in May 2028 from Cape Liberty, New
Jersey, to Bermuda, featuring two overnight stops. In September and October 2028, 12-night voyages from Boston will explore Canada and New England with an overnight stay in Quebec City.
