Hyatt Hotels Corporation has cut the size of its select-service hotel prototypes to cut building costs by roughly 25%. The company targets over 300 U.S. submarkets and has a pipeline of 70+ Hyatt Studios hotels with over 8,200 rooms.

Travel + Leisure Co. partnered with Wyndham Hotels to create hotels under the Sports Illustrated Resorts brand. The deal was announced on October 5, 2026.

Marjan Hospitality is refurbishing over 600 rooms at Rixos Al Mairid and Pullman Resort Al Marjan Island, with reopenings scheduled for late 2026 and mid-2027. The Pullman Resort will become adults-only and adopt a new design concept inspired by the Arabian Sea.

Hyatt Centric Sapporo, the first Hyatt Centric hotel in Hokkaido, opened in downtown Sapporo on October 3, 2026. The hotel features 216 spacious rooms, artisan-inspired design, two restaurants showcasing local cuisine, and special offers for early bookings and World of Hyatt members.

Azul Hospitality Group managed the March 2026 conversion of Sheraton Carlsbad Resort & Spa into Hotel Solea under Marriott's Autograph Collection. The repositioning included a multi-million-dollar renovation and expanded meeting space of over 70,000 square feet.

Hotel Indigo Raleigh reopened in early October 2026 after a $36 million renovation of its historic 1969 landmark building. The 204-room hotel now features mid-century-modern design and a new rooftop lounge with city skyline views.

Marjan Hospitality is refurbishing over 600 rooms at two Ras Al Khaimah hotels. Rixos Al Mairid will reopen in December 2026 and Pullman Resort Al Marjan Island in Q2 2027 as an adults-only property.

Hilton has opened Hale Hōkūala Kauaʻi, the first Curio Collection by Hilton resort in Hawaii, featuring 210 rooms overlooking Nāwiliwili Bay. The resort offers a cultural immersion program with The Kauaʻi Museum and amenities including a Portuguese-Hawaiian cuisine restaurant, pool, and spa.
