Carnival Cruise Line will introduce its first regular short cruises departing from Galveston, Texas, beginning in April 2028. The Excel-class vessel Carnival Jubilee will operate these cruises through April 2029, marking a new itinerary segment from this homeport.
Cruise Lengths, Schedules, and Itineraries
Carnival Jubilee’s schedule will include four-, five-, six-, and eight-day Western Caribbean itineraries. Four-day sailings start on April 27, 2028, with departures on select Thursdays through April 26, 2029. These cruises visit Cozumel, Mexico.
Five-day cruises launch earlier on April 17, 2028, departing on select Saturdays and Mondays until April 30, 2029, calling at Cozumel and Progreso, Yucatán. A six-day voyage is
planned for October 29, 2028, which will include stops at Cozumel and Isla Tropicale in Roatán.
Significance of New Offerings for Galveston Cruisers
This is the first time Carnival Cruise Line’s newest Excel-class ship will offer short cruises from Galveston, providing greater itinerary flexibility for passengers in the Texas region. The initiative supplements existing longer itineraries with four- and five-day options aboard Carnival Jubilee, expanding access to Western Caribbean destinations from this port.
