Carnival Cruise Line announced the cancellation of nine sailings aboard the Carnival Jubilee ship scheduled for departure from Galveston between August and December 2027.
The affected itineraries include cruises to the Bahamas and the Caribbean. Carnival confirmed that passengers and their travel advisors have been informed of the cancellations and provided with alternative sailing options and accommodations.
According to Carnival Cruise Line, the cancellations are due to “itinerary changes,” though the company did not disclose additional details regarding the adjustments.
This move follows a previous cancellation by Carnival of nearly a dozen cruises set for late 2026 on the Carnival
Firenze, which the line also attributed to changes in itinerary plans.
Industry Context of Cruise Cancellations
While cruise cancellations are uncommon, they can occur for reasons including itinerary revisions, ship charters, or scheduled dry dock maintenance periods.
