The Cambodia Ministry of Tourism and Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries officially signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on or before August 10, 2026, to jointly develop agritourism and ecotourism hubs across the country. produced agricultural goods in hotels, restaurants, and tourism establishments nationwide.

Both ministries emphasized that linking agriculture with tourism will create a mutually reinforcing economic ecosystem. The increased tourist numbers expand domestic markets for farmers, while promoting sustainable farming practices enriches the visitor experience by highlighting Cambodian culinary culture. The collaboration intends to generate direct and sustainable income for rural communities by expanding green belts and improving the supply of Cambodian-grown food to the tourism industry.
