Flights at Brussels Airport will be cancelled on October 9, 2026, due to a “national manifestation” strike by some employees of the ground handling company Alyzia. An estimated half of the flights handled by Alyzia on that day will be affected.
The strike affects only flights managed by Alyzia; passengers with flights handled by Aviapartner are not expected to be impacted and these flights should operate normally. Passengers with Alyzia-handled flights need to prepare for possible cancellations.
Flight cancellation updates will be published on Brussels Airport’s official website once confirmations are finalized. Information about which airlines are handled by Alyzia
is also available on the airport’s website to help passengers assess potential impact.
On October 12, 2026, further trade union actions are planned which may affect public transport in Brussels but will not interfere with flights or air traffic at Brussels Airport.
