Electronic Visa Application Without Physical Stamps
The new procedure eliminates the requirement for physical visa stamps in passports. While applicants are allowed to submit visa applications electronically at Brazilian consulates overseas, the designated online portal for electronic visa issuance is still under development and not yet operational.
Applicant Responsibilities and Authorization Requirements
Applicants must verify the current procedures before applying, as the full electronic process is not yet available
and prior government authorization requirements remain in effect. The new process does not alter these authorization rules, which apply to specific immigration cases.
