More than 230 flights were delayed and 43 canceled as of 3:10 p.m. Tuesday at Logan International Airport in Boston. The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) implemented a ground delay beginning at noon and scheduled to last until 1:59 a.m. Wednesday, causing inbound flights to be held at departure airports to space out arrivals. Average inbound delays reached 86 minutes due to ongoing runway construction.

Passengers faced severe delays Monday, with inbound flights averaging more than five hours late after the FAA imposed a ground delay. Massport, which operates Logan International Airport, reported that the runway construction will likely be completed sometime in November. It also advised travelers to check flight statuses with their airlines before heading to Logan.
