India will launch its first high-speed rail line on the 508-km Mumbai-Ahmedabad corridor by 2028. The bullet trains will run at speeds up to 320 km/h, cutting travel time from over six hours to around two.
Hungary unveiled a HF3,550bn (€9.76bn) railway development plan to be completed by 2035, including tram-trains, metro expansions, and new rolling stock. The plan follows an EU funding agreement and targets major urban and regional rail upgrades.
Cardiff Queen Street train station will close from July 25 to 27 for engineering works by National Rail. Several train services will be cancelled or diverted, with rail replacement buses operating during key periods.
