An emergency incident has stopped train services between Birmingham New Street and Wolverhampton until at least 3:30pm on November 1, 2026. Rail lines remain blocked as emergency services respond, causing major commuter disruptions.

Great Western Railway will suspend services to London Paddington starting November 28, 2026, for a £27.8 million upgrade at Dolphin Junction. The works will cause major service changes through early January 2027.

The Madrid-Andalusia high-speed rail line will reopen about ten days after judicial clearance following the October 28, 2026 Urda crash, which resulted in 69 deaths. Reduced services will continue until signalling upgrades by Thales, delayed to early 2027, are completed.
