Chattanooga Metropolitan Airport offers nonstop flights to more than a dozen U.S. cities, bypassing larger hubs like Atlanta and Charlotte. The airport plans to add two gates and a new parking deck to support future growth.

Southwest Airlines will launch a weekly nonstop flight from Austin to San José, Costa Rica starting March 13, 2027. The Saturday schedule allows travelers to plan weeklong trips with direct access to Costa Rica’s popular destinations.

WestJet canceled over 300 flights on August 3, 2026, during a flight attendant strike and 16 flights on August 4 as the airline resumes operations. A tentative contract deal was reached with the union representing 4,400 flight attendants.
