United Airlines cancelled hundreds of flights in less than 48 hours because of severe weather. These cancellations disrupted the airline's operations and affected travelers in the last two days.

Over 260 flights were cancelled by 7 a.m. EST on July 28 at JFK, LaGuardia, and Newark airports due to severe thunderstorms. The FAA issued ground stops and delay programs impacting flights regionally and nationally.
