Southwest Airlines announced 19 new routes planned for spring 2027, expanding its domestic network. Additional flights will be added from Austin, Texas, and Orlando, Florida, with launches beginning in March 2027.

Delta Air Lines will start nonstop flights from Los Angeles International Airport to Manila on March 28, 2027, initially three times weekly. The route uses Airbus A350-900 aircraft, increasing to daily service on June 7, 2027.

United Airlines suffered a nationwide technology outage on July 21, 2026, causing ground stops at major U.S. airports. More than 2,000 flights were canceled across the country.
