Royal Caribbean has canceled all visits to Labadee, Haiti, for 2026, affecting dozens of itineraries on 12 ships. Alternate Caribbean ports will replace Labadee in most cases.

Carnival Cruise Line began construction of the Carnival Destiny at the Fincantieri shipyard, marking launch of its new Ace class fleet. The ship will debut in summer 2029 with innovative design features and a record number of ocean-facing balcony cabins.

In early July 2026, a cruise carrying nearly 2,000 mostly gay passengers was denied entry by Turkish and Egyptian ports. This prevented scheduled dockings and disrupted the cruise itinerary.
