Palm Beach County commissioners approved a 400-room, 18-story hotel project by Related Ross beside the County Convention Center. The lease spans 97 years with annual payments exceeding $1.1 million initially.

Choice Hotels International opened six new hotels in 2026, expanding its upscale portfolio to more than 300 properties in the US. The new locations span Colorado, Florida, Vermont, and Wisconsin under Cambria Hotels and Ascend Collection brands.

GIC has purchased 16 Marriott-operated hotels in Japan for around $800 million. Marriott will continue to operate these Four Points Flex by Sheraton properties post-acquisition.
