Amtrak has unveiled its latest Airo trains set to operate on the Pacific Northwest corridor starting in 2026. These new trains are designed to reach speeds of up to 125 miles per hour, aiming to provide quicker travel times along this key rail route.
In addition to enhanced speed, the Airo trains utilize advanced technology that curtails emissions by around 90% compared to previous models. This significant reduction marks a notable advancement in reducing the environmental impact of rail travel in the region.
