The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has issued a ground stop due to multiple severe storms, leading to significant operational impacts on American Airlines flights today, June 25, 2026.

This weather-related safety measure has resulted in disruptions affecting more than 1,000 flights within the American Airlines network, primarily across major airports in the United States.

In response to the situation, American Airlines has proactively contacted passengers impacted by the disruptions to provide assistance and updated information on their travel plans.

Travelers are currently encountering cancellations and delays as a result of the ground stop. Flight status updates are recommended before heading

to airports to avoid unnecessary inconvenience.
