Allegiant Airlines will introduce nine nonstop routes beginning in early 2027, targeting seasonal travel demand by connecting northern U.S. markets with warmer destinations, particularly in Florida.

Year-Round and Seasonal Route Details

The only year-round service among the new routes is from Cincinnati, Ohio (CVG) to Orlando, Florida (MCO), launching February 12, 2027. Seasonal flights will commence February 10 and conclude April 17 between Grand Forks, North Dakota (GFK), and Sanford, Florida (SFB). Additionally, seven more routes are set to operate on a hyper-seasonal basis, linking various New England points with Florida locations, aligning with peak spring break travel periods.

Business Model Flexibility and Travel Demand

Allegiant’s strategy leverages its flexible business

model to adjust capacity according to leisure travel peaks. The airline aims to meet seasonal demand spikes by adding these routes primarily during spring break, increasing direct travel options for passengers from northern regions to warmer destinations.

Drew Wells, Allegiant’s Chief Commercial Officer, stated that the new routes provide additional choices to travelers and demonstrate the airline’s responsiveness to market demand. He said, “We’re excited to announce these new routes into our growing network and will continue to look for opportunities to connect travelers with the destinations they want to visit most. These new routes reflect the flexibility of our

unique business model, allowing us to respond to demand and provide more options during peak leisure periods.”

The nine-route expansion is scheduled for early 2027 and aims to increase nonstop flight availability across multiple U.S. cities, primarily servicing highly seasonal demand.
