August 2026 showed the slowest growth rate for that month since the pandemic. Albanian tourism operators have noted this deceleration and project that total arrivals by the end of 2026 will mirror
last year’s results.

Tourist patterns in 2026 indicate shorter average stays in Albania. Visitors increasingly prefer private apartments and holiday homes, and many opt for self-catering arrangements by purchasing groceries and preparing meals themselves. Last-minute bookings have become more common, alongside more cautious spending habits among key European markets.

Tourism operators report confidence in the sector, highlighting secured contracts for 2027 from Polish, Czech, and French tourist groups. The tourism season is expected to extend through the first ten days of October, supporting continued visitor inflows. to assess actual revenue growth.
