Alaska Airlines announced new nonstop flights from Seattle-Tacoma International Airport (SEA) to Athens International Airport (ATH) and Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport (CDG). The Athens route, marking the first nonstop US West Coast service to the Greek capital, begins May 12, 2027, operating three times weekly. The Paris service starts May 25, 2027, with five weekly flights through the fall. Ticket sales launched simultaneously with roundtrip Main Cabin fares starting at $999 for US purchases through August 26, 2027.

Seasonal nonstop flights will connect Seattle to Athens thrice weekly from mid-May 2027. The Paris route will operate five times per
week starting late May 2027. Introductory ticket pricing for both routes is set at $999 roundtrip for Main Cabin seats when purchased in the USA by August 26, 2027.
Symbolic Flight Numbers and Aircraft Details
Flight AS196 to Athens commemorates the 1896 modern Olympic Games held in the city, while flight AS136 to Paris references the 136 museums in the French capital. Both routes will utilize Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner aircraft outfitted with Alaska Airlines’ updated long-haul cabin product.
Onboard Amenities and Passenger Benefits
Business class travelers on these flights will access lie-flat Suites featuring multi-course meals and amenities from West Coast brands Filson and Salt & Stone. Members of Alaska’s Atmos
Rewards program will receive complimentary high-speed Starlink Wi-Fi provided by T-Mobile. The airline continues to install Starlink across its fleet, including Hawaiian Airlines aircraft, through 2027.
Network Expansion and Hub Development
These new routes expand Alaska Airlines’ international network from its Seattle hub, supplementing existing nonstop flights to Iceland, London, Rome, Seoul, and Tokyo. The airline plans to add at least five additional international destinations by 2030. Seattle is being developed as a global gateway on the West Coast, with service enhancements including a new international lounge and updated onboard features.
