The African Union recently convened the joint 9th session of the Specialized Technical Committee (STC) on Finance, Monetary Affairs, Economic Planning and Integration in tandem with the 5th session of the STC on Trade, Tourism, Industry and Minerals. These concurrent meetings brought together key stakeholders under the union’s framework to focus on important regional economic and tourism topics.
Both sessions concentrated on matters concerning economic strategy, financial management, and monetary affairs, alongside trade and tourism integration efforts pertinent to the continent. The gatherings aimed to address challenges and development opportunities within these sectors to support broader African integration initiatives.
