Aeroméxico will launch direct nonstop flights from Mexico City to Nassau, Bahamas, and Montego Bay, Jamaica in March 2027. These new routes mark the first direct air service linking Mexico City with these two Caribbean destinations.
Flight Schedules and Launch Dates
The Mexico City–Montego Bay route will commence operations on March 18, 2027, with flights scheduled for Thursdays, Saturdays, and Sundays. Departures from Mexico City are set for 9:20 a.m. local time, arriving in Montego Bay at 2:00 p.m. The return flights will leave Montego Bay at 3:15 p.m. and reach Mexico City by 6:20 p.m.
The following day, March 19, 2027, Aeroméxico will begin
services to Nassau. This route will operate Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays, departing Mexico City at 9:10 a.m. and arriving in Nassau at 3:00 p.m. Return flights will leave Nassau at 4:15 p.m. and land in Mexico City at 6:30 p.m.
Aircraft, Approvals, and Existing Caribbean Service
Both routes are planned to be operated using Aeroméxico’s Boeing 737 MAX 8 aircraft, configured to seat 166 passengers. According to reports from El Universal, government approval for these new services is pending. Aeroméxico currently operates nonstop flights to Punta Cana and Santo Domingo in the Dominican Republic, as well as Havana, Cuba.

Aeroméxico CEO Andrés Conesa emphasized the airline’s
expansion strategy, stating, “We continue to strengthen the ‘Eagle Knight’s’ leadership position in the international market and bring our passengers closer to the world’s most iconic destinations.” Senior Vice President of Global Sales Giancarlo Mulinelli added that these connections will offer passengers direct access to diverse tourism and cultural experiences while enhancing connectivity from Mexico City.
Passenger Benefits and Capacity During Peak Travel
Prior to these new routes, travelers from Mexico to Jamaica and the Bahamas had to connect through the United States or Panama. The introduction of nonstop flights will reduce travel time by eliminating stopovers. During Holy Week 2027, which runs from March 21 to
28, Aeroméxico plans to provide over 4,000 weekly seats to its Caribbean destinations across 27 weekly frequencies.
