Accor’s MGallery Collection has signed the Ink 48 hotel in New York City as its first U.S. flagship property, with the hotel set to officially join the brand in 2028, according to a late September 2026 announcement. Located in the Hell’s Kitchen neighborhood on Manhattan’s West Side, Ink 48 features 222 guestrooms including 17 suites and offers views over the Hudson River.
Ownership and Management of Ink 48
Ink 48 originally opened in 2009 and was part of IHG’s Kimpton brand until its 2019 sale, after which it operated independently. In 2024, the hotel was acquired by a 50/50 joint venture between Leyad, a Montreal-based real
estate investment and management firm, and New York-based real estate private equity firm Capstone Equities. Management of Ink 48 under the MGallery Collection will be handled by Rebel Hotel Company.
Renovation Plans and Hotel Features
The hotel will continue to operate independently throughout its upcoming extensive renovation, which aims to upgrade the guest experience while maintaining the hotel’s distinctive character. Ink 48’s facilities include approximately 6,000 square feet of meeting and event space, a fitness center, a rooftop bar, and a restaurant. The renovation is designed to introduce MGallery’s signature design elements and immersive guest experiences.
