During the summer of 2026, several prominent airports across Europe encountered significant operational disruptions affecting flight schedules. Roughly 40 flights were cancelled, while an estimated 804 flights experienced delays at major hubs such as Stockholm, Madrid, Athens, Rome, Amsterdam, Berlin, Barcelona, Zurich, Geneva, Brussels, Dublin, and Copenhagen.

These delays and cancellations have left hundreds of passengers stranded across the continent. Travelers planning trips through these cities should prepare for possible disruptions and consider allowing additional time for their connections and departures during this period.
