American Airlines is preparing to introduce a new daily nonstop service between Athens and Dallas for the summer 2026 travel season. This addition represents part of the carrier’s broader plan to expand its transatlantic network and increase nonstop linkages between the United States and Greece.
Expanded Connections Between US Cities and Greece
Alongside the new Athens-Dallas route, American Airlines is also extending its service from several major U.S. hubs—Charlotte, Philadelphia, Chicago, and New York—to Greece. These enhancements aim to provide travelers with more direct flight choices and greater flexibility when planning trips between the two regions.
The airline intends these route expansions to lower the risks associated
with flight cancellations and airport operational challenges. By increasing nonstop flight options, American Airlines hopes to foster improved reliability for its transatlantic travelers during the busy summer period.
