EasyJet is introducing seven new flight routes from five UK airports starting November 2026, expanding its access for travelers with new connections to Reykjavík, Nuremberg, Kraków, Marrakesh, Copenhagen, Belfast, and Rabat.

New Routes and Schedules

The airline’s new services include Liverpool John Lennon Airport to Reykjavík, operating twice weekly on Mondays and Fridays with fares starting around £25 one-way. Flights from Manchester Airport to Nuremberg will run twice weekly on Mondays and Fridays until early January 2027, with return fares from £64 per person. Newcastle Airport serves three routes: to Kraków twice weekly on Mondays and Fridays, a service already ongoing with one-way fares

from £25.99; to Marrakesh twice weekly on Tuesdays and Saturdays which began recently with fares from £22.99; and starting 5 November 2026, to Copenhagen twice weekly on Thursdays and Sundays.

London Southend Airport now offers three weekly flights to Belfast, operating Mondays, Fridays, and Sundays since 2 November 2026. London Luton Airport’s new service to Rabat will begin tomorrow, flying twice weekly with fares starting at £21.99 one-way.

Official Statements and Commitments

EasyJet’s UK Country Manager expressed satisfaction at launching the Liverpool to Reykjavík route, noting the added winter holiday options for customers in the North West. Liverpool John Lennon Airport’s Aviation Director highlighted

the benefit of direct flights to Iceland for regional passengers.

Newcastle Airport’s Director of Aviation Development acknowledged EasyJet’s network growth to 31 destinations since opening a base there in March 2026, signaling strong airline commitment to the North East. London Southend Airport’s Business Development Director welcomed Belfast to the expanding route network. EasyJet’s UK Country Manager also emphasized Belfast’s appeal as a destination for both leisure and business travelers, citing convenient airports at each end of the route.

Traveler Benefits and Network Expansion

Passengers gain a broader choice of direct flights from multiple UK airports, including new access to European cities known for city breaks

and winter holidays, and North African destinations popular with British tourists. Manchester becomes the only UK airport outside London to offer a direct flight to Nuremberg. At Newcastle Airport, EasyJet has quadrupled its network since March 2026 to 31 total routes, enhancing travel options for the North East region.

Industry Context and Destination Highlights

The route launches come amid a challenging environment for travel, marked by route reductions and rising jet fuel prices. Kraków was named Europe’s most affordable ‘Twixmas’ destination last year, providing budget city break appeal. Marrakesh attracts approximately 1.3 million British tourists annually, known for its vibrant culture and markets. Rabat, a

UNESCO World Heritage Site, offers Islamic heritage and French-colonial architecture, enriching travel variety for UK passengers.
