Breeze Airways will begin operating nonstop year-round flights between Tampa International Airport (TPA) and Santo Domingo (SDQ), Dominican Republic, starting June 18, 2027. The service will use Airbus A220-300 aircraft.
The twice-weekly flights will operate on Fridays and Mondays. This marks the first time any airline has offered nonstop service throughout the entire year on the Tampa to Santo Domingo route.
With this new route, Santo Domingo becomes Breeze Airways’ sixth international destination from Tampa. The airline started nonstop flights from Tampa to Punta Cana (PUJ), another Dominican Republic destination, on July 2, 2026.
Alex Heiter, Tampa International Airport’s Director
of Air Service Development, said, “By adding another international nonstop flight, the airline continues to increase its commitment to TPA and will soon offer Tampa Bay travelers another easy way to reach the Dominican Republic.” Breeze Airways founder and CEO David Neeleman added, “We continue to see great demand for our high-value, low-cost model in Tampa, and our continued growth there is an example of just that. This new travel option to Santo Domingo will give Tampa another option to come fly Breeze when they want to take that next trip.”
