The Disney Believe cruise ship will premiere the first-ever “Encanto” musical during its maiden voyage departing from Port Everglades in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, on December 18, 2027, according to ABC News.

Its initial itineraries include four-night and five-night cruises to the Bahamas and the Western Caribbean. The voyages will stop at Disney’s private islands: Disney Castaway Cay and Disney Lookout Cay at Lighthouse Point.

Entertainment Offerings on Board

“Encanto” will headline the ship’s entertainment, following the story of Mirabel as she endeavors to save her family and home. The musical features songs by Lin-Manuel Miranda, including “We Don’t Talk About Bruno” and “Surface Pressure.”

Other stage productions scheduled aboard include “Tangled: The Musical” and “Disney Seas the Adventure.”

Additional venues include Gazelle, a live show hub inspired by “Zootopia,” which provides adults-only nighttime entertainment. A family-friendly gathering spot called the Wishing Well, themed after “Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs,” is also part of the ship’s entertainment spaces. Children’s clubs available are Disney’s Oceaneer Club, It’s a Small World Nursery, the Edge, Vibe, and The Hideaway for older children.

Themed Dining Venues

The Disney Believe introduces Oaken’s Table, a new family dining venue inspired by Frozen. Other themed eating and drinking spots include Sea Notes, a piano

lounge based on “The Little Mermaid”; Big Hero Sips and Café Kakamora, themed on “Big Hero 6” and “Moana” respectively; and Skygazers, a pub designed as a magical observatory.

For sweets, the Inside Out: Joyful Sweets confectionary will be available. Returning favorites such as the Haunted Mansion Parlor bar, Palo Steakhouse, Enchanté by Chef Arnaud Lallement, and The Rose lounge will also be on board.

Design and Fleet Context

The ship’s Grand Hall follows a “Moana” theme, featuring a statue of Moana alongside Pua and Heihei. Staterooms contain papercut-style artwork inspired not only by “Moana” but also Pixar’s “Coco” and Disney’s “The Lion King.”

Disney Believe is the latest addition to Disney Cruise Line’s Wish class and the fourth ship in that series, joining Disney Wish, Disney Treasure, and Disney Destiny. The cruise line is extending its use of popular Disney and Pixar franchises to create immersive experiences for its guests.
