Alisa Hotels, Ghana’s indigenous hospitality brand, intensified its engagement with the Nigerian travel and corporate markets at the 22nd Akwaaba Travel Market in Lagos in early October 2026. The event provided a platform for Alisa Hotels to display its hospitality offerings and deepen existing relationships with Nigerian partners.
Before the Akwaaba Travel Market, Alisa Hotels hosted a cocktail reception in Lagos to reconnect with established tour operators, travel industry stakeholders, and corporate clients. The event served to introduce potential clients to Alisa Hotels’ growing portfolio across Ghana, emphasizing conferencing, dining, accommodation, and event hosting capabilities.

Alisa Hotel Tema recently added a
400-seater pavilion to its facilities, enhancing its ability to host sizable corporate and social functions. These expansions reflect the group’s commitment to supporting large-scale events within Ghana.
Development of Alisa Heritage
Alisa Hotels is preparing to open Alisa Heritage, a new luxury residences complex. This project will include 86 superior rooms, luxury apartments, penthouses, conferencing facilities, a fully equipped gym, and a restaurant. These additional offerings are designed to provide diverse accommodation and lifestyle options for international and local travelers.
Strategic Focus on Nigerian Market
Led by Group Sales and Marketing Manager Esperanza Adjei, the Alisa Hotels delegation emphasized the strategic importance of the Nigerian market for the group’s
growth. Ongoing partnerships with Nigerian tour operators and corporate clients have been a key aspect of promoting Ghana as a preferred destination for business and leisure travel.
Participation in the Akwaaba Travel Market serves as a critical point of engagement with Nigerian travel trade professionals, reinforcing Alisa Hotels’ position as a leading indigenous Ghanaian hospitality brand contributing to tourism development.
The group presents “Akwaaba,” the Ghanaian word for welcome, as more than a greeting. It represents an invitation to experience authentic Ghanaian hospitality, a hallmark of Alisa Hotels’ brand identity according to The Guardian Nigeria News – Nigeria and World
