
Southwest Airlines will introduce three new seasonal flights from Nashville International Airport starting in summer 2027. The new routes will connect Nashville with Boise, Idaho; Nassau, Bahamas; and Providenciales, Turks and Caicos. Specific launch dates and flight frequencies have not been disclosed.
Southwest’s Nashville Operations and Route Updates
Southwest has maintained a significant operational presence in Nashville, with flights serving destinations across the United States, Mexico, Central America, and the Caribbean. The airline established a crew base at Nashville International Airport in 2024. In addition, construction is underway on a new Southwest Airlines airport lounge at the facility. Southwest plans to restart seasonal service between Nashville
and Bozeman, Montana, as well as Portland, Oregon, though timing details remain unspecified.
Simultaneous Expansion in Austin, Texas
On the same day Southwest announced its Nashville route additions, it also revealed plans to add seven new domestic and international routes from Austin, Texas. These announcements reflect Southwest’s ongoing network growth focused on increasing flight options from both Nashville and Austin airports.
