
Southwest Airlines announced on October 2, 2026, that it will add three new seasonal routes from Nashville International Airport. The carrier will connect Nashville with Boise, Idaho; Nassau, Bahamas; and Providenciales, Turks and Caicos beginning in summer 2027. Neither the precise start dates nor the flight frequencies for these routes have been disclosed.
Southwest maintains a strong presence at Nashville International Airport, serving destinations across the U.S., Mexico, Central America, and the Caribbean. The airline opened a crew base at Nashville in 2024 and is currently constructing a new Southwest airport lounge at the facility.
On the same day as
the Nashville announcement, Southwest revealed an expansion at Austin, Texas, introducing seven new domestic and international routes. Additionally, Southwest plans to resume seasonal flights between Nashville and Bozeman, Montana, and Portland, Oregon.
These additions will provide travelers departing from Nashville with increased nonstop flight options starting summer 2027, enhancing connectivity to select domestic and Caribbean destinations via Southwest Airlines.
