Hilton has officially opened Hale Hōkūala Kauaʻi, Curio Collection by Hilton’s debut property in Hawaii, in early October 2026. The 210-room lifestyle resort is located overlooking Nāwiliwili Bay and Kalapakī Beach on the island of Kauaʻi.
Hale Hōkūala, meaning ‘House of the Rising Star’ in Hawaiian, is part of the larger Hōkūala resort community and includes 23 suites. Guest rooms feature floor-to-ceiling windows and private lānais with clear views of the Pacific Ocean, Hāʻupu Mountain, and the Ocean Course at Hōkūala.
The resort offers a signature cultural immersion program called E Ala Ka Pilina, with The Kauaʻi Museum as the
inaugural partner hosting storytelling sessions. This program allows guests to experience unique cultural activities both on- and off-property.
Dining at Hale Hōkūala includes a signature Portuguese-Hawaiian cuisine restaurant and a casual poolside eatery. On-site amenities include a swimming pool and fitness center, with guest access to a full-service spa, wellness programs, and tennis and pickleball courts within the Hōkūala resort community.
Brooke Thomas, brand leader of Curio Collection by Hilton, said, “Curio Collection by Hilton is defined by hotels that immerse guests in one-of-a-kind moments and reflect the spirit of the destinations they call home.” She added, “Hale Hōkūala Kauaʻi
brings that promise to life, pairing contemporary island design, a distinctive culinary point of view and curated programming that celebrates local people and traditions. As Curio Collection’s first resort in Hawaiʻi, the property is a powerful example of the bespoke stories and memorable stays our guests seek around the world.”
