Hilton has opened Hale Hōkūala Kauaʻi, its first Curio Collection resort in Hawaii, situated on the island of Kauaʻi overlooking Nāwiliwili Bay and Kalapakī Beach. The property offers 210 guest rooms, including 23 suites, and is part of the Hōkūala resort community.
Cultural Immersion and Scenic Views
Guest rooms at Hale Hōkūala feature floor-to-ceiling windows and private lānais with panoramic views of the Pacific Ocean, Hāʻupu Mountain, and the Ocean Course at Hōkūala. The resort introduces the E Ala Ka Pilina cultural immersion program, collaborating with local experts to provide on- and off-property experiences. The first partner for this program is The Kauaʻi Museum, which
will host a storytelling initiative.
Amenities and Dining
Dining options at the resort include a signature restaurant offering Portuguese-Hawaiian cuisine and a casual poolside eatery. On-site facilities include a pool and fitness center. Guests also have access to a full-service spa, wellness programming, and tennis and pickleball courts within the larger Hōkūala resort community.
Hilton’s Brand Positioning in Hawaii
Brooke Thomas, brand leader for Curio Collection by Hilton, emphasized the resort’s role in conveying the brand promise through contemporary island design, unique culinary perspectives, and curated local programming. She said, “Curio Collection by Hilton is defined by hotels that immerse guests in one-of-a-kind moments and reflect the spirit
of the destinations they call home.” The resort’s name, Hale Hōkūala, translates as “House of the Rising Star.”
