Marjan Hospitality announced a major refurbishment programme at Rixos Al Mairid Ras Al Khaimah and Pullman Resort Al Marjan Island, involving more than 600 rooms across both properties to elevate guest experience and modernize facilities. This initiative aims to align the hotels with evolving guest expectations and enhance Ras Al Khaimah’s hospitality standards.
Refurbishment Details and Timelines
Rixos Al Mairid is fully refurbishing all rooms in its main building, enhancing design, furnishings, finishes, and layouts as part of its shift towards premium positioning. The hotel is scheduled to reopen in December 2026.
Pullman Resort Al Marjan Island is refurbishing all 300 rooms and will
transition to an adults-only resort with a new ‘Ocean Dusk & Dawn’ design concept inspired by the Arabian Sea and Al Marjan Island coastline. Its reopening is planned for the second quarter of 2027.
Context of Ras Al Khaimah Tourism Growth
This refurbishment is part of Marjan Hospitality’s wider approach to strengthen Ras Al Khaimah’s hospitality offerings amid significant tourism momentum fueled by new developments like Wynn Al Marjan Island. Marjan Hospitality also recently introduced 35 standalone private villas at The Ritz-Carlton Residences Ras Al Khaimah, Al Wadi Desert, located within a 1,235-acre protected nature reserve.
Corporate Strategy and Future Positioning
Alison Grinnell, Group COO of Marjan and CEO of Marjan Hospitality,
stated: “As Ras Al Khaimah’s hospitality offering continue to evolve, we want our established properties to evolve alongside it. Our aim is to ensure each property has a clear identity, meets the expectations of today’s guests and contributes to the overall quality of the destination. With new developments raising the bar across the emirate, it is an exciting time to continue investing in what we already have while creating something stronger for future generations.”
