Choice Hotels International opened six new properties across its Cambria Hotels and Ascend Collection brands, increasing its upscale portfolio to more than 300 hotels in the United States as of September 29, 2026.
Locations and Brands for New Openings
The six new hotels comprise two Cambria Hotels and four Ascend Collection properties, with locations in Colorado, Florida, Vermont, and Wisconsin. The new Cambria Hotels are in Colorado Springs – Air Force Academy and Jacksonville, Florida. The four Ascend Collection hotels include Caretta Landing Sarasota and Coral Pointe Sarasota in Florida, Fairway Inn and Suites in Mishicot, Wisconsin, and Sun Lodge in Peru, Vermont.
Details of New Cambria and Ascend Properties
Cambria Hotel Colorado
Springs – Air Force Academy features 97 guestrooms and suites with 286 square feet of meeting space. It is situated five miles from the U.S. Air Force Academy and close to attractions such as Garden of the Gods, Manitou Incline, the U.S. Olympic & Paralympic Museum, and Ford Amphitheater. The hotel offers a rooftop bar, an on-site restaurant, and modern amenities tailored for business and leisure travelers.
Cambria Hotel Jacksonville offers an outdoor pool and rooftop event area near destinations like St. Johns Town Center, Mayo Clinic, University of North Florida, TPC Sawgrass, and EverBank Stadium. It features contemporary guestrooms
with spa-inspired bathrooms, a locally inspired restaurant and bar, complimentary WiFi, a Grab & Go marketplace, and a fitness center.
Ascend Collection’s Caretta Landing Sarasota provides 86 guestrooms and wellness-centric amenities along Florida’s Gulf Coast near Siesta Key Beach, The Ringling Museum, Mote Marine Laboratory & Aquarium, and University Town Center. Coral Pointe Sarasota has 107 guestrooms and apartment-style suites with access to Siesta Key Beach, Sarasota Audubon Nature Center, Sarasota Art Museum, and Nathan Benderson Park. Both properties share resort-style outdoor pools, fitness centers, complimentary breakfasts, and close to 1,100 square feet of combined meeting space.
Fairway Inn and
Suites in Mishicot, Wisconsin, has 102 renovated guestrooms, nearly 19,000 square feet of meeting and event space, an indoor heated pool, hot tub, fitness center, and an on-site restaurant. The hotel offers golf packages tied to the adjacent 45-hole golf complex and is near Point Beach State Forest, Green Bay, and Two Rivers.
Sun Lodge in Peru, Vermont, includes 50 guestrooms and offers ski-in/ski-out access during winter months. The property has nearly 800 square feet of event space and is near Bromley Mountain, Hildene, Mount Equinox Skyline Drive, Stratton Mountain, and the Long Trail Trailhead.

Choice Hotels’ upscale portfolio now
