The Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) will expand its V-Pass facial recognition technology across all Nigerian domestic airports starting July 2026. FAAN is responsible for deploying this nationwide system to enable facial recognition at domestic terminals throughout Nigeria.

The rollout aims to enhance security and speed up passenger processing nationwide. From July 2026, passengers on domestic flights will experience faster identification procedures at Nigerian domestic airports through the use of facial recognition technology.
