Contour Airlines will start five weekly nonstop flights between Northwest Alabama Regional Airport (MSL) in Muscle Shoals, Alabama, and Dallas Fort Worth International Airport (DFW) beginning November 12, 2026. This new service aims to give travelers in Northwest Alabama direct access to the Dallas-Fort Worth area.
To accommodate the new Dallas-Fort Worth route, Contour Airlines is reallocating five weekly flights from its current Muscle Shoals–Charlotte Douglas International Airport (CLT) service. Despite this change, daily nonstop flights between Muscle Shoals and Charlotte will continue. The flights on the Muscle Shoals to Dallas-Fort Worth route will be operated with Contour’s 30-seat regional
jets.
The regional jets used by Contour Airlines feature leather seating with extra legroom, as well as complimentary snacks and beverages. The addition of Dallas-Fort Worth service offers travelers improved connectivity through a major hub, supporting seamless connections with American Airlines and other partners. This expands travel options for both business and leisure passengers in the Shoals region.
Barry Griffith, Airport Director at Northwest Alabama Regional Airport, said the Dallas-Fort Worth route is a highly sought-after nonstop destination locally and is expected to boost passenger traffic and regional economic benefits. Ben Munson, President of Contour Airlines, highlighted the expansion as
a way to provide convenient access to a major U.S. market while continuing the daily Charlotte route. Both officials acknowledged community support for enhancing air service in the area.
Tickets for flights between Muscle Shoals and Dallas Fort Worth can be purchased via Contour Airlines’ website, call center, and local or online travel agencies. Contour also offers interline ticketing through partners including Alaska, American, Delta, JetBlue, and United. The airline operates a premium product designed to provide comfort and convenience for travelers from Northwest Alabama and surrounding regions.
