The Federal Aviation Administration enforced a ground stop at Dallas Love Field and Dallas/Ft Worth International airports on Thursday, October 1, 2026, halting departures due to thunderstorms affecting the Dallas area.

American Airlines led the cancellations during the ground stop. By 8:20 a.m. local time, at least five flights between San Antonio International Airport and the Dallas airports had been cancelled, disrupting airline operations on these routes.

Passengers at San Antonio International Airport experienced delays and cancellations on flights bound for Dallas airports. Travelers passing through Dallas/Fort Worth airports also faced flight interruptions, especially on American Airlines services, as the

weather-related ground stop limited departures.
