Discount Tiers, Deposit Requirements, and Booking Mechanics
Most eligible sailings qualify for a 10% discount on voyage fares. Select voyages grant deeper discounts of 20% or 25%. Concierge Stateroom bookings in categories 02B and below on certain sailings also receive an extra 10% off. A fully refundable $250 deposit per stateroom is required to reserve a Placeholder onboard. The future cruise must depart
within 24 months. Booking is limited to one future cruise per household, with a maximum of two staterooms. At least one person from the original sailing party must be included in the new reservation.
Eligible Itineraries and Special Event Sailings
Discounts now apply across Bahamian, Caribbean, Mexican Riviera, Baja, Alaskan, and Singapore routes. Newly added sailings incorporate themed events such as Marvel Days at Sea and Pixar Days at Sea. Blockout dates vary by sailing and discount level. Guests should verify details before booking.
Automatic Discount Application and Refunds for Existing Placeholder Reservations
Guests with existing Placeholder Reservations on sailings newly eligible for higher discounts will have updated savings applied automatically without needing to rebook.
Those who have paid in full will receive refunds for the discount difference to the original payment method. Disney Cruise Line has begun sending SeaMail notifications to inform affected guests of these adjustments.
Booking Restrictions and Discount Limitations
The discount applies solely to voyage fares and excludes taxes, fees, and port expenses. It cannot be combined with other promotions, including the Guaranteed Staterooms with Restrictions discount. Blockout dates and other restrictions differ by sailing and discount tier. Only one Placeholder Reservation is allowed per household, covering up to two staterooms with at least one original party member aboard.
Conversion Options and Cancellation Policies
Guests may convert a Placeholder Reservation into
a confirmed booking via the My Reservations portal, Disney Cruise Line Contact Center, or through travel advisors. Households booking two staterooms on the same sailing must contact the Call Center directly, as online options are unavailable. Once converted, the booking is subject to standard cancellation fees and is not reversible to a Placeholder.
