The Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) started expanding the deployment of the V-Pass facial recognition biometric system across all Nigerian domestic airports in July 2026.
The V-Pass system improves passenger processing by accelerating identity verification and strengthening security. Travelers passing through domestic airports equipped with V-Pass will experience quicker and more secure identity checks through automated facial recognition technology.
