night and his Sunday night rescheduled flight also canceled, described the disruptions as unpredictable. “I was watching all the FAA warnings, and there was this ground stop on, then off, then on again and off again, and it’s been really uncertain,” he said. “I just wasn’t expecting it to go for two full days. That’s been the surprise.”
A Florida high school cheerleading team, led by athletic director and coach Cheryl Draves, was stranded at Logan after flights home to Orlando scheduled for Saturday were canceled. Draves said she spent six hours Sunday trying to rebook. The team now faces
an extended stay through Monday or Tuesday. “My concern is more about my girls because, you know, they’re away from home, and they’re away from their parents, and to be thousands of miles — a thousand miles away is a lot for teenage girls,” she said. The group originally planned a two-night stay but was approaching its fourth night dealing with lodging and logistical issues.
