Avelo Airlines is adding four new routes from McKinney National Airport in Dallas/McKinney, Texas, starting December 2026. Flights to Denver International Airport and Atlanta Hartsfield Jackson International Airport begin December 16, 2026. Service to Louis Armstrong New Orleans International Airport and Nashville International Airport starts December 17, 2026.
Avelo is adding a third Boeing 737-800 aircraft to its McKinney National base, which recently received operating certification from the Federal Aviation Administration. Flights to Denver and Atlanta will operate four times per week on Monday, Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday. New Orleans and Nashville flights will run twice weekly on Thursday and
Sunday.
Fares for these routes start at $99 and include one free checked bag. Initial flights from McKinney on November 11, 2026, will serve Las Vegas and four Florida cities. Construction of a new passenger terminal at McKinney National Airport is nearly complete and on schedule.

This expansion provides travelers in North Texas an additional budget airline option distinct from dominant legacy carriers Southwest and American Airlines. The budget airline sector has faced challenges recently due to rising fuel costs and the collapse of Spirit Airlines earlier in 2026.
